Dawn Skorczewski and Esther Shaya tell the story of Wim ten Broek (1905–1991). Wim ten Broek was a Dutch painter and graphic artist, best known for his poster design for the Holland America Line, a Modernist icon to this day. Trained as an artist before the Second World War, he built a successful commercial career in advertising and illustration. During the German occupation of the Netherlands, Ten Broek joined the resistance. He used his artistic skills to create forged documents and visual material that supported underground networks, often placing himself in dangerous situations and narrowly avoiding arrest.
