David Diamant, the son of Sarah Prins who was one of “The Dora Group,'' will tell the story of the Prins and Drukarch families based on survival testimonies and archival material.

Even in the toughest conditions, the Prins and Drukarch families tried to uphold a religious Jewish life during their hiding in Amsterdam. David Diamant, the son of Sarah Prins who was one of “The Dora Group,” will tell their story based on survival testimonies and archival material. It is a story of fear, despair, and unbearable conflict, but also of faith and hope that kept the group alive for nearly two years in hiding. During these years they were part of a smuggling operation under the Nazis’ very noses, they had to cope with death in the apartment, they were helped by the Dutch underground and an accident almost broke their cover. After the war, from that very same hideaway, they made extraordinary efforts to revive the Amsterdam Jewish community.
