Lecture and exhibition
Ludmilla van Santen of the Dam Victims Memorial Foundation 7 May 1945 will be present and will use photos to tell bystanders about the event and hear new stories. For more information on the shooting see https://de-dam-zevenmei1945.nl/en/

Commemoration of the Dam victims 3 pm
At the Memorial Dam Victims monument, the 32 names of those who died in the Dam Square shooting on 7 May 1945 are mentioned. A wreath of flowers from the City of Amsterdam is laid at the monument on May Day. The monument has been present here since 2016.
No booking required. The lecture and commemoration will take place outdoors on Dam Square.
