An elderly couple was pulled out of the building by men in white coats, officers of the SS.

What should a storyteller do with such a tale ? He peels off the layers of the past, awakens sleeping ghosts, like the Dutch barber who lived on the ground floor, Mr Jansen. He interrogates him about forgotten secrets, distant memories of buried sins.

Me and Mr. Jansen is an engaging solo narrative performance that invites the audience to look beyond notions of “right” and “wrong”. Who plays innocent and who wears the traitor’s costume? Can we actually choose which roles we play or are we nothing but figures caught in the wheel of history, endlessly repeating our roles?
