Programma
We beginnen om 19.30 uur, maar voor die tijd leidt de IJburgfanfare het welkom al in. We herdenken met verhalen: over de eerste deportaties van Joden in Amsterdam, over een stewardess die geheim agente voor de Britten werd en over haar collega’s die sabotagegroepjes zouden organiseren. Allen kwamen in Mauthausen terecht.
We herdenken ook met muziek. Tussen de toespraken speelt een klarinettist korte improvisaties en zingt het IJburgkoor 2 liederen, een Mauthausenballade, en een lied voor Oekraïne.
Na de herdenkingswoorden wordt de taptoe gespeeld en herdenken we met stilte. Daarna speelt de IJburgfanfare het volkslied en leggen we bloemen bij de vlag op de herdenkingsplaats.
Na afloop kunnen we koffie of thee drinken in de aangrenzende Binnenwaai, kerk op IJburg. Voor de kinderen is er limonade. Daar wordt ook na 9 jaar afscheid genomen van het huidige 4 mei comité. We zijn in gesprek met de moskee op IJburg of daar ook thee kan worden gedronken
Zo nodig zijn enkele stoelen beschikbaar.
Program
We start at 19.30 hrs, but before that time the IJburg Fanfare introduces the welcome. We will commemorate with stories: about the first deportations of Jews in Amsterdam, about a stewardess who became a secret agent for the British and about her colleagues who would organize sabotage groups. All ended up in Mauthausen.
We also commemorate with music. Between the speeches a clarinet player plays short improvisations and the IJburg choir sings 2 songs, a Mauthausen ballad, and a song for Ukraine.
After the words of remembrance the tattoo is played and we commemorate with silence. Then the IJburg Fanfare plays the national anthem and we lay flowers at the flag on the memorial site.
Afterwards we can drink coffee or tea in the adjacent Binnenwaai, church on IJburg. For the children there is lemonade. There we also say goodbye to the current 4 May Committee after 9 years. We are talking with the mosque on IJburg whether there also can be tea.
